Getting Started

Learn how to get started with Moistello in minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

  • A device with biometric authentication — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or fingerprint reader
  • USDC — The currency used for all contributions and payouts. Fund your auto-created wallet via the Yellow Card ramp or an external Stellar wallet
  • No Freighter, no passwords, no email — Your passkey is your identity

Step 1: Sign In with Passkey

  1. Visit app.moistello.io
  2. Click Sign In
  3. Authenticate with your device biometrics (Face ID, fingerprint) or platform authenticator
  4. That's it — your Stellar wallet is automatically created and funded with 2 XLM from the master pool

Step 2: Fund Your Wallet

  1. Navigate to Wallet in the app
  2. Use the Yellow Card integration to convert NGN to USDC
  3. Or send USDC from any external Stellar wallet to your auto-generated address
  4. Your wallet address is visible on the Wallet page — share it to receive funds

Step 3: Create Your First Circle

  1. Navigate to Circles → Create Circle
  2. Fill in the circle details:
- Name — A recognizable name for your circle - Description — Optional description - Circle Type — Public or Private - Max Members — How many people can join (2-100)
  1. Set financial parameters:
- Contribution Amount — How much each member contributes per cycle in USDC - Frequency — Daily, Weekly, Biweekly, or Monthly - Late Fee — Penalty percentage for late payments (default 5%) - Grace Period — Hours before a payment is considered late - Max Strikes — Number of late payments before removal
  1. Choose a payout type:
- Random — VRF selects payout order - Fixed Order — Predefined order - Auction — Members bid for early payout
  1. Review and create

Step 4: Invite Members

  1. Open your circle
  2. Click Invite Members
  3. Share the invite link or code with your group
  4. Members sign in with their passkey and join — their wallet is created automatically

Step 5: Start Contributing

Once all members have joined, the circle begins. Each cycle:

  • All members contribute the agreed USDC amount
  • One member receives the full pool
  • Your MoiScore increases with each on-time contribution
  • Zero platform fees — the full pool goes to the recipient

Testnet vs Mainnet

When testing on testnet, wallets are funded from the master pool — no friendbot needed. When ready for real funds, Moistello operates on Stellar Mainnet with live USDC.
